Where to meet people in Chicago?

Hey,

The school system in Lakeview is actually decent.

With a population of 2,707,648, the city has a {city_feel}. Crime rate at 943.2/100K residents is something to {crime_feel}.

What I like:
- Affordable compared to coastal cities
- Good airport
- Good farmers markets

What I don't:
- Hard to date here
- Parking is a nightmare
- Pollen season is no joke

Public transit is improving but not there yet - you'll want a car. The education scene here is really picking up.

I'll give you a thorough answer since I've been through this exact situation.

I moved to Bridgeport from St. Louis about 10 years ago. Initially I was excited but nervous. But after settling in, The food scene in {hood} is honestly incredible..

A few things I'd recommend:
- Check out Bridgeport and Logan Square for housing
- Download the local transit app even if you drive
- Visit during different seasons if you can

The biggest adjustment was housing. The school system in {hood} is actually {adj}.. Overall I'd give Chicago a 8/10 for families.

Honestly it depends on what you prioritize. If career growth matters most, then yeah Chicago is great. But if you need walkability, might want to look at Ukrainian Village instead.

I've been in Wicker Park for 11 years and The suburbs vs city debate here is real.. The weather took some getting used to but I actually love it now.
