Hello, Median household income is $46,458, which feels on the lower side for the area. Homes are going for about $38,000 on average. The median home value here is around $38,000, which is actually reasonable. You can expect to pay around $504 for rent here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. Let me know your thoughts. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Came here for work and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The pet-friendliness is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a sales manager, 48, moved here 15 years ago from LA. I've lived in West and Meadowbrook, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Not a lot of cultural diversity
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The school system situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- West: Great for remote workers. pretty good vibes, walkable.
- Meadowbrook: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from LA, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $90K-$150K here.
**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Affordable housing options
- The pet-friendliness scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
