Born and raised here. Median household income is $62,133, which feels about average for the area. With a population of 14,643, Chippewa Falls is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Am I wrong here? Thanks in advance!

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

Bought a house here in 2023 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in South. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in finance. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like seafood.
No regrets on my end..

I'm a data analyst and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is improving and there's always something going on.
