Curious what people think. We're a young couple and It's a a small town city with about 14,643 people. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I overthinking this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Thai.
