Why I chose Chubbuck over bigger cities

Hey folks, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? Any help is appreciated.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Raleigh it's solid.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in South area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 5 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
