Working remotely from Chula Vista — my experience

I've been working remotely from Chula Vista for 12 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Decent, getting better with new providers
Coworking spaces: Growing number of options

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Chula Vista is underrated for remote workers.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Don't sleep on Westside. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Coming from Phoenix, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are about the same.

I've lived in Southside for 8 years and it's a hidden gem honestly.

The job market has been improving lately. Several logistics companies moved in recently.

Rent tip: look for places in October-November. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Coming from Phoenix, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

Check out the Southside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

I work in finance and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 4 months.
