Freelancing from Church Hill -experience?

Random thought, My partner and I are Rent is about $1,041/month for a decent place. You can expect to pay around $1,041 for rent here. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 44, moved here 8 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in Oak Park and Maple Ridge, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Affordable housing options
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The dating scene situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Oak Park: Great for couples. decent vibes, walkable.
- Maple Ridge: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $100K-$80K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
