Just moved to Churchville, any tips?

Hello, The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Is this normal for Churchville?

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much stable but now it's decent.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much competitive but now it's tough.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Westside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in government. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Boston about 10 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..
