Been meaning to ask this. Been living here since 2013. The median home value here is around $182,400, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $56,225 in Circleville. The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

As someone who grew up here, it's improved dramatically in recent years. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much wild but now it's surprisingly good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 3 years and it's been a really good experience overall. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is surprisingly good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Fairview side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

Bought a house here in 2023 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

I've lived in The Heights for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- The traffic scene is average
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The housing market is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if safety matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
