What's it really like living in Citrus Park?

First post here. My family moved here when I was a kid. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,163 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from San Diego about 9 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are established, gas is challenging.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Feel free to reach out with questions..
