Worst things about Citrus Park nobody talks about

Random thought, Born and raised here. Median household income is $84,220, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Citrus Park sits at 108.4 per 100K. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. Poverty rate is 9.1%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What would you do? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The traffic is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Oak Park for 1 years. Moved from Miami for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. tech is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are manageable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
I love the pace of life here. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Oak Park schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Far from beaches/mountains. And walkability can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 7/10. Would recommend to anyone considering it.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.
