Is it worth buying in Claiborne?

Anyone in a similar situation? I'd say it's better for families than young sin

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. the quality of life is solid. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Houston about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and family.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Came here for retirement and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
