Moving to Claiborne with kids -good idea?

With a population of 12,647, Claiborne is a small town. Poverty rate is 11.1%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a real estate agent who relocated here from Chicago about 13 years ago. The main reasons were family and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Four distinct seasons
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Midtown for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The cost of living scene is decent

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

As someone who grew up here, it's been a really good experience overall. A lot has changed in the past few years though. weather used to be much wild but now it's surprisingly good.

I've lived in Eastside for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good airport with direct flights
- The public transit scene is decent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited high-paying job options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
