Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cultural scene, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely hit or miss and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Lakewood) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Baltimore, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 2 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Good internet infrastructure
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are pricey, gas is challenging.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much affordable but now it's hit or miss.
