Claremont housing prices -when will it stop?

My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Should I be concerned?

The food scene here is decent. Tons of great Asian places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Used to live on the Westside side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Boston about 15 years ago. The main reasons were weather and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are established, gas is challenging.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want school system, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
