Hey everyone, The unemployment rate is 3.5%, which is pretty low. Poverty rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Downtown. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally challenging. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
