Affordable areas near Clarendon Hills?

First post here. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Has anyone dealt with this? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market is honestly tough and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Charlotte it's underrated.
