Anyone else feel this way? I relocated for work and Crime rate is something to consider -Clarendon Hills sits at 56.6 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 8,642 people. Poverty rate is 9.9%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 1.8%, which is pretty low. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The healthcare is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The public transit is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the Oak Park side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
