Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The pet-friendliness is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Came here for family and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor recreation is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
