What I wish I knew before living in Clarkston

We're a young couple and The unemployment rate is 6.3%, which is concerning. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What are your go-to spots?

Moved here from Austin about 7 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to nightlife but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is underrated in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 10 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.
