Median household income is $75,808, which feels about average for the area.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Minneapolis about 1 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Can feel isolated
Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is hit or miss.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Hot take but it was the best decision I ever made. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've been living here for 7 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The school system is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Nashville about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
- Decent public transit for the size
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Bought a house here in 2024 and it's exactly what I was looking for. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- The job market scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.
I've been here 12 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is pretty good.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
