Considering Clayton vs Seattle -help me decide

First post here. Household incomes average around $73,348 in Clayton. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in West. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Definitely worth checking out..

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, No regrets on my end..
