Hello, You can expect to pay around $1,057 for rent here. Homes are going for about $192,900 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here?

I'm a electrician and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in The Heights. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in consulting. If you're in government you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Thai.
