I work in retail here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is pretty good. Definitely worth checking out..

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much affordable but now it's better than expected.

I've lived in Riverside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good airport with direct flights
- The school system scene is solid

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want public transit, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
