Housing market in Clearfield right now

My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 16.1%, which is higher than I expected.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in The Heights. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem hit or miss.

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into running, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
