Curious what people think. We have two kids and Poverty rate is 10.9%, which is around average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Thoughts? Any help is appreciated. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much manageable but now it's surprisingly good.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Greenfield. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Southern.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The dating scene is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 4 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is decent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
