Hey, I've been here for 4 years and The median home value here is around $326,100, which seems about average. With a population of 117K, Clearwater is a mid-size city. Crime rate is something to consider -Clearwater sits at 399.3 per 100K. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Bought a house here in 2016 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone about the same since then.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem underrated.
I've been here 14 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is improving.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Lakewood. It's challenging for what you get.
Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: average. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is hit or miss.

I've lived in Fairview for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- The nightlife scene is average
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to LA it's underrated.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a teacher, 31, moved here 1 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Downtown and Fairview, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Close to major attractions
2. Affordable housing options
3. Good airport with direct flights
4. The people are generally improving - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The community vibe situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Downtown: Great for young professionals. solid vibes, walkable.
- Fairview: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $40K-$120K here.
**Final verdict:**
Would recommend to anyone considering it.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Greenfield for 1 years. Moved from Raleigh for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2018 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.
**Employment:**
engineering is strong here. government is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
it's improved dramatically in recent years. The outdoor scene is tough - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Greenfield schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Chain restaurants dominate. Dating scene is rough. And school system can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For retirees, I'd say this is a 7/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- The school system scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for singles. Hope this helps!.
