The truth about Clearwater — honest review
Been a Clearwater resident for 2 years. Here's my honest take:
Pros:
- Great weather year-round
- Diverse food scene
- Nice parks and trails
Cons:
- Traffic can be bad during rush hour
- Limited nightlife
Overall I'd rate it 9/10. It's not perfect but it works for our family.

If you can afford it, Midtown is the best place to live. Period.

Rent tip: look for places in winter. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Respectfully disagree about the safety concerns. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Can confirm the safety issue. But it really depends on the neighborhood. Westside and Highland Park are perfectly safe.

Coming from Houston, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are cheaper.
