Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Raleigh about 8 years ago. The main reasons were school and my partner's job.
Pros I've experienced:
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are stable, gas is tough.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..
