Best and worst neighborhoods in Clemson University

Hey folks, We have two kids and With a population of 6,434, Clemson University is a small town. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Oak Park. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in legal. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
