Grocery stores in Cleveland Heights -recommendations?

Been meaning to ask this. It's a a smaller city city with about 44,694 people. Poverty rate is 8.5%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 4.8%, which is about average. With a population of 44,694, Cleveland Heights is a smaller city. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is challenging in most areas.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want cultural scene, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 6 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the nightlife is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Greenfield side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely decent and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (North) is competitive and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Phoenix, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Used to live on the Highland side, now on the Old Town side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a HR manager, 45, moved here 8 years ago from Austin. I've lived in Old Town and Eastside, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Good internet infrastructure
2. Close to major attractions
3. Strong sense of community
4. The people are generally average - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Property taxes are high
3. The school system situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Old Town: Great for singles. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Eastside: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Austin, everything felt tough. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are pricey. Gas is competitive. You can live comfortably on $90K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

As someone who grew up here, the quality of life is solid. A lot has changed in the past few years though. traffic used to be much stable but now it's improving.
