The good and bad of living in Cleveland Heights

I'm a 54-year-old marketing manager and Median household income is $72,302, which feels about average for the area. Household incomes average around $72,302 in Cleveland Heights. Homes are going for about $176,700 on average. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Let me know your thoughts. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it was the best decision I ever made. The food scene is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Affordable housing options
- The walkability scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 1 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the safety is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Pine Hills side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.
