Been meaning to ask this. I'm a teacher here and Crime rate is something to consider -Cleveland sits at 1,238.3 per 100K. Homes are going for about $162,300 on average. Household incomes average around $43,519 in Cleveland. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Am I wrong here? Thanks! The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
