Raising a family in Cleveland — thoughts?

Hello, Military spouse here. The unemployment rate is 6.9%, which is concerning. It's a a mid-size city city with about 368K people. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Worth the trade-offs? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

We moved here with our family and I have mixed feelings honestly. Schools in South area are pretty good. Kids love it here.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if job market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I genuinely enjoy living here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

The food scene here is better than expected. Tons of great Mexican places. I'm still on the fence after all this time.
