Curious what people think. My partner and I are With a population of 368K, Cleveland is a mid-size city. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. Any help is appreciated.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 5 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Highland. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in finance. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally improving. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Thai.
