Best restaurants in Cleveland?

I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 15.8%, which is higher than I expected. Crime rate is something to consider -Cleveland sits at 591.5 per 100K. Homes are going for about $153,200 on average. The median home value here is around $153,200, which is actually reasonable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Should I be concerned? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.

I've been here 6 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Maple Ridge side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in West. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in education. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are stable. You get used to it after the first year.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Uptown. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally challenging. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
