OK so Poverty rate is 7.6%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 25,580 people. Crime rate is something to consider -Cliffside Park sits at 68.9 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $1,783 for rent here. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Anyone in a similar situation? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is walkability. Other than that, It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in East for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Affordable housing options
- The housing market scene is excellent
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The school system scene is average
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Definitely worth checking out..

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say I'm still on the fence after all this time. The cultural scene is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. school system used to be much reasonable but now it's solid.
