Should I move to Cliffside Park or stay in Pittsburgh?
Hey, We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $577,200, which is pretty steep. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? Appreciate any input. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'm a social worker who relocated here from Miami about 4 years ago. The main reasons were weather and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are established, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Happy to answer more specific questions..

We moved here with our family and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Schools in North area are average. Kids love it here.

**What I love:**

2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The dating scene situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for young professionals. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Springfield: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt pretty good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $40K-$150K here.
