Grocery stores in Clifton Heights -recommendations?
Random thought, I'm single, late 30s, and You can expect to pay around $1,191 for rent here. Median household income is $69,940, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $189,100, which is actually reasonable. Homes are going for about $189,100 on average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Am I wrong here? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Moved here from San Diego about 11 years ago. I genuinely enjoy living here. Still getting used to outdoor recreation but No regrets on my end..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in West area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely average and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Riverside) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from San Diego, be prepared for the culture shock. food scene is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
