Hey everyone, Homes are going for about $444,300 on average. Poverty rate is 6.1%, which is pretty low. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I'm a software engineer and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is average and there's always something going on.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Houston it's average.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from Tampa about 12 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is better than expected.
Socially, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
