Thinking about relocating to Clinton from Charlotte
Hey folks, It's a a small town city with about 2,795 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Should I be concerned? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

We moved here with our family and it's not perfect but it works for me. Schools in Pine Hills area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Houston it's excellent.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is solid in most areas.

I've lived in The Heights for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Lots of new development happening
- The traffic scene is decent
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.
