Hi all, Just moved here 5 months ago and Poverty rate is 7.5%, which is pretty low. With a population of 27,418, Clinton is a smaller city. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Used to live on the North side, now on the Midtown side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from New York about 6 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good healthcare facilities
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Not very walkable outside downtown
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for family and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The school system is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Eastside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cost of living scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
