Honest thoughts on life in Clinton

Hey, I'm retired and You can expect to pay around $888 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $58,417 in Clinton. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Growing food scene
- Diverse community
- Plenty of shopping options

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Not very walkable
- High property taxes
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Limited cultural events

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in legal. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
