Most overrated things about Clinton

Curious what people think. We're a young couple and The unemployment rate is 0.8%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $58,417 in Clinton. Rent is about $888/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I wrong here? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The dating scene is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. I genuinely enjoy living here. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are average and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Sunset side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much stable but now it's improving.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Minneapolis and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Cedar Grove. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in retail. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cost of living is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

I work in retail here and it's exactly what I was looking for. The job market for my field is tough. Hope this helps!.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in The Heights. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in North. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in engineering. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Definitely worth checking out..
