Rent in Clio getting crazy

Rent is about $753/month for a decent place. Poverty rate is 17.5%, which is higher than I expected. Median household income is $50,678, which feels on the lower side for the area. Average temperature is around 48--F, so expect cold winters. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. TIA! The suburbs are where most families end up. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I've lived in Riverside for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- The pet-friendliness scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for couples. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
