Grocery stores in Clive -recommendations?

Longtime lurker here, Household incomes average around $131,082 in Clive. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Came here for family and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The school system is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a chef, 44, moved here 14 years ago from Houston. I've lived in West and Old Town, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Limited high-paying job options
3. The dating scene situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- West: Great for singles. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Old Town: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Houston, everything felt hit or miss. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $100K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 2 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely challenging and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.
