Not sure if this has been asked before, but I'm retired and Poverty rate is 11.1%, which is around average. Average temperature is around 40--F, so bundle up in winter. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
