Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value nightlife, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Meadowbrook) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Can feel isolated.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem surprisingly good.
I've been here 6 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is outdoor recreation. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is excellent.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Riverside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

I've been here 1 years and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Came here for quality of life and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The weather is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
