Clovis is underrated, change my mind

Been meaning to ask this. Homes are going for about $453,300 on average. The suburbs are where most families end up. What would you do? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Cedar Grove side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value job market, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely challenging and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Seattle, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Not very walkable outside downtown.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 4 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a chef and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Fairview for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Dallas, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The healthcare scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

Bought a house here in 2015 and it was the best decision I ever made. Property values have gone up a bit since then.
