So, I work in retail and The median home value here is around $862,000, which is pretty steep. Rent is about $1,705/month for a decent place. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Any advice would be great. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. the quality of life is solid. Internet is pretty good in most areas.

I've been living here for 3 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The weather is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The school system is genuinely average and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (South) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Nashville, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
